Get strong after 50, with someone in your corner.

A 12-week program for people who are done starting over alone. Weekly calls with me, training built for your body, and honest eating. No hacks, no shame.

I want this Only 10 places per intake.
One-to-one, so that's a hard limit.

You've started before.

The January gym membership. The app you deleted. The plan that assumed you were 25. You don't need more information, you already know roughly what to do. What's been missing is someone who notices whether you did it, and helps you feel good about yourself while you get it done.

I know, because I was that person. At 58 I lost 30kg in about seven months following a boring plan: the same food rules, the same workouts, tracked honestly, never missed. I did not stumble upon a hidden secret. I just realised that keeping things simple and boring was easy to manage, and it worked.

Twelve weeks. Me in your corner.
Here's how it works.

1

We talk, every week

30 minutes on Zoom, same slot each week. We go through your week, sort what got in the way, and set the next one up. You leave every call knowing exactly what to do, and believing you'll do it.

2

Your training, built for you

I build your plan and push it straight into your Boring Works app: sets, reps and weights suited to your body and your kit, not a template written for someone half your age. As you progress, the plan progresses.

3

I read your week before we speak

Two minutes before each call you fill in a short check-in: sessions done, how the body feels, how the eating went, one win, one struggle. I read it before we talk, so the half hour starts at the real stuff, not the small talk.

4

Eating, handled without misery

Plain food, honest portions, no banned lists and no cult rules. The same boring approach that took 30kg off me, adjusted to your life, your kitchen, and the things you actually like eating.

I'm a regular 58-year-old, not a fitness fanatic.

I'm Rob, and I'm 58 years old. I created Boring Works as a personal project: a simple, private app for designing workouts and logging, tracking, and managing my progress. During this journey, I lost 30kg in about seven months. Now, I train on camera to demonstrate my belief: boring workouts work.

For over 40 years, I worked in sales, business, and the nonprofit space. Boring Works is close to my heart because it's designed to help people like me reclaim their health and strength so they can live longer, happier lives.

If you need a push in the right direction, a plan, a cheerleader, or someone to guide you along, I am here for you, because I know exactly how you feel.

Fair questions, straight answers

Am I too old or too unfit for this?

No, you're exactly who it's for. We start from where your body actually is, not where a program thinks it should be. Most of my clients hadn't trained in years when they started. That's the point of having a coach instead of a PDF.

Do I need a gym or equipment?

No. We build your program around what you have. Bodyweight only is fine, a couple of dumbbells is plenty. If you have a gym, we'll use it; if you never want to see one, you won't.

What if I have a bad knee, shoulder, or back?

Tell me about it on day one and we program around it, that's the whole advantage of one-to-one. If anything needs a doctor's opinion first, we get that first. Bodies over 50 come with history; the plan respects it.

What happens after the 12 weeks?

You keep everything: the app, your plans, your data, and the habits. Some people are set up to carry on alone by then, which is the goal. Some book another block. Both are wins.

What if it's not for me?

Every place starts with a short call before any money changes hands, if it's not a fit, I'll tell you so myself. (Rob: decide your refund position this weekend and state it here plainly.)
